Albion - Kendallville Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is investing about $10 million to upgrade the transmission infrastructure in Noble County. Rebuilding approximately 10 miles of 69-kilovolt transmission line between Albion and Kendallville is essential to ensure continued reliable power is available across the region. Enhancements ensure dependable electric service is available and reduces the possibility of outages.

Albion - South Goshen Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in northeast Indiana. Rebuilding the transmission line between Albion and Goshen is essential to ensure continued reliable power is available across the region.

Alexandria Area Improvements

The Alexandria Area Improvements are necessary to upgrade the local electric transmission system in Delaware, Madison and Tipton counties. Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) will upgrade existing facilities to provide a reliable flow of electricity to its customers. The approximately $90 million investment is critical to provide additional capacity for economic development to thrive in the area.

Auburn - Avilla Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in DeKalb and Noble counties in northeastern Indiana. Rebuilding approximately 7 miles of single circuit 69-kilovolt (kV) and double circuit 69 kV/138 kV transmission line proactively upgrades an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of replacement. The upgrades improve reliability for customers across the region.

Auburn - Butler Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is proactively upgrading approximately 5-miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line to 138kV, constructing approximately 4-miles of new 138kV transmission line and installing a switch pole for New Millennium. The improvements in DeKalb County in Indiana proactively replace an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of rebuild and redesign to improve reliability for customers across the region.

Avilla - Kendallville Area Improvements

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in Noble County in northern Indiana. The project includes rebuilding approximately 8 miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line to proactively upgrade an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of replacement. The upgrades improve reliability for customers across the region.

Bluffton - Van Buren Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is rebuilding the 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line that connects the Bluffton Substation – passing through the Liberty Center Substation – to the Van Buren Substation. The improvements in Grant, Huntington, and Wells counties in Indiana proactively replace an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of rebuild and redesign to improve reliability for customers across the region.

Butler - Hicksville Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading approximately 10 miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) line with a 138kV capable line. The improvements in northeast Indiana proactively replace an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of rebuild and redesign to improve the reliability for customers across the region. The approximately $15 million investment decreases the possibility of power outages and speeds up recovery when outages occur.

Central South Bend Reliability Project

Focusing improvements in South Bend, the project includes constructing two new substations and an approximately 2-mile underground transmission line near downtown South Bend. When construction is complete, the company will retire the aging Drewry and Colfax substations.

DeKalb County Area Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is upgrading the electric transmission grid in DeKalb County. The project modernizes the transmission infrastructure to improve electric service reliability for local customers in northeasten Indiana. Building a new substation and creating a connection to the transmission grid will meet existing local electric needs and support future growth in the area.

Eastern Muncie Area Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) officials plan to upgrade the electric transmission network serving customers in eastern Muncie. The project involves upgrading about 4 miles of power line to increase electric reliability in the area.

Elkhart Network Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is upgrading the electric transmission grid in Elkhart County in northeastern Indiana. The Elkhart Network Improvements Project invests approximately $34 million to upgrade the transmission infrastructure to provide a reliable flow of electricity to customers, improve its condition and address performance issues.

Eugene - Meadow Lake Line Replacement Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to upgrade the electric transmission grid in Vermillion, Fountain, Tippacanoe and White counties. The project modernizes the transmission infrastructure to improve electric service reliability for local customers in northeastern Indiana. These improvements will meet existing local electric needs and support future growth in the area.

Gravel Pit Substation and Transmission Line Upgrades

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is enhancing the power grid in northern Indiana. The approximately $20 million Gravel Pit Substation and Transmission Line Upgrades is essential to improve reliability for the region.

Hartford City Area Improvements

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to strengthen the transmission system in eastern Indiana. The project includes upgrading approximately 4 miles of transmission line, rebuilding about 8 miles of transmission line, building about 3 miles of new line, retiring the substation in Eaton and building a new substation. These improvements increase reliability, lessen power outages, and speed recovery of service when outages occur.

Hartford City - Eaton Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is rebuilding the 34.5-kilovolt (kV) transmission line that travels through Blackford and Delaware counties. The project includes replacing aging wire and wood poles with sturdier facilities to improve reliability and allow for economic development in the region.

Hartford City - Montpelier Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure Blackford County. Rebuilding approximately 9 miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line proactively updates an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of replacement. The project improve electric service reliability for customers across the region.

Jackson Road - Marshall Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading approximately 13 miles of 34.5 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to 69kV. The improvements in St. Joseph and Marshall Counties in Indiana proactively replace an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of rebuild and redesign to improve reliability for customers across the region.

Jay County Area Improvements

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans an approximate $45 million investment to upgrade the electric transmission grid in Jay County. The project modernizes the transmission infrastructure to improve electric service reliability for local customers in northeastern Indiana. These improvements will meet existing local electric needs and support future growth in the area.

Monroe Area Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to strengthen the electric transmission system in eastern Indiana. These improvements in Adams County involve rebuilding about 10.5 miles of 69-kilovolt power lines.

Muncie - Anderson Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in Delaware and Madison counties in eastern Indiana. Rebuilding approximately 21 miles of double circuit 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission line proactively upgrades an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of replacement. The upgrades improve reliability for customers across the region.

Muncie - Marion Transmission Line Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to improve electric reliability for customers in eastern Indiana by upgrading the local power grid. The Muncie-Marion Transmission Line Project includes rebuilding about 20 miles of 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission line in Delaware and Grant counties.

New Buffalo Area Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in LaPorte County, Ind. and Berrien County, Mich. Rebuilding approximately 7 miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line proactively upgrades an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of replacement. The upgrades improve reliability for customers across the region by reducing the likelihood of power outages.

New Carlisle - Bosserman Area Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power is building and upgrading approximately 16 miles of 34.5 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to 138kV. The improvements in St. Joseph and LaPorte counties in Indiana upgrade the transmission infrastructure to provide a reliable flow of electricity to its customers. The approximately $55 million project updates an aging infrastructure to improve its condition and address performance issues.

New Carlisle - South Bend Transmission Line Rebuild

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading less than 10-miles of 34.5-kilovolt (kV) transmission line to 69 kV. The improvements in St. Joseph County, Indiana proactively replace an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of rebuild and redesign to improve reliability for customers across the region.

Northern Fort Wayne - Albion Transmission Line Rebuild

Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M) is improving the local electric transmission system to ensure continued reliable power is delivered to Northeast Indiana and the greater Fort Wayne area. Powering Up Central improvements are centered on the City of Fort Wayne. The project represents a $50 million investment.

Powering Up South: Southern Fort Wayne - Decatur Area

Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M) is improving the local electric transmission system to ensure continued reliable power is delivered to Northeast Indiana and the greater Fort Wayne area. Powering Up South improvements are centered on the Decatur area. The project represents a $52 million investment.

Powering Up East: Monroeville Area

Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M) is improving the local electric transmission system to ensure continued reliable power delivery to Northeast Indiana and the greater Fort Wayne area. Powering Up East improvements are centered on the Monroeville area.

Roanoke - Marion Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is rebuilding approximately 35 miles of 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line. The improvements in Huntington and Grant counties in Indiana upgrade the transmission infrastructure to provide a reliable flow of electricity to its customers. The approximately $85 million project updates an aging infrastructure to improve its condition and address performance issues.

South Anthony - Lakeside Transmission Line Rebuild

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project includes rebuilding approximately 2 miles of 34.5-kilovolt (kV) transmission line to 69 kV standards. Proactively upgrading the electric infrastructure improves reliability for customers across the region and prepares for future growth in the area.

South Bend 138 kV Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the transmission infrastructure in St. Joseph County. Rebuilding approximately 20 miles of double circuit 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission line and 5 miles of single circuit 138 kV line proactively upgrades an infrastructure that has reached an age where it is in need of replacement. The upgrades improve reliability for customers across the region.

Southern Muncie Area Improvements

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to improve electric reliability in eastern Indiana by upgrading the local power grid. The project modernizes the transmission infrastructure to improve electric service reliability for local customers. The approximately $84 million investment updates the electric line and substations to prepare for future growth in the area.

Spencer County Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to build a new 345-kilovolt (kV) transmission line in Spencer County. The 12-mile long line is an approximately $76 million investment that strengthens the electric grid to provide a reliable flow of electricity to customers.

Twin Branch - Kenzie Creek Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power is upgrading the electric transmission grid in St. Joseph County in northern Indiana and Cass County in southern Michigan. This project rebuilds approximately 7 miles of 138 kilovolt transmission line to provide a reliable flow of electricity to customers. The approximately $15 million project will update an aging infrastructure, reducing the risk of extended power outages in the region.

Winchester - Union City Transmission Line Rebuild

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to improve the electric transmission between Winchester and Union City. The Winchester-Union City Transmission Line Rebuild Project upgrades the transmission infrastructure to continue to provide a reliable flow of electricity to customers. I&M anticipates this project is an approximate $11 million investment.

Yorktown Area Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans an approximate $6.5 million investment to upgrade the electric transmission grid in Yorktown. The project modernizes the transmission infrastructure to improve electric service reliability for local customers in eastern Indiana. These improvements will meet existing local electric needs and support future growth in the area.

Hamilton - Butler Area Improvements

Indiana Michigan Power is considering upgrades to the electric transmission network in DeKalb Countyin eastern Indiana. The area's power grid must be upgraded because of the age and condition of transmission facilities.

Western Fort Wayne Area Feasibility Study

Indiana Michigan Power is considering upgrades to the electric transmission network in Allen and Whitley counties in northeastern Indiana. The area’s power grid must be upgraded because of the age and condition of transmission facilities.
