Approved Projects

Eastern Kentucky Transmission Program: Hazard – Wooton

Kentucky Power plans to increase reliablity to customers by investing in its transmission system in five eastern Kentucky counties. The first project under the Eastern Kentucky Transmission Program is the Hazard - Wooton Project in Leslie and Perry counties.

EastPark Transmission Project

Kentucky Power plans to upgrade transmission equipment in Boyd County. The upgrades will provide a more robust power source to its customers. The company wants to provide continued reliable electric service and provide a transmission system capable of handling economic growth.

Enterprise Park Economic & Area Improvements Project

Kentucky Power is looking to improve the power grid and increase economic growth opportunities in eastern Kentucky by building a new transmission line and a new substation.



Additional Projects

Cannonsburg Transmission Rebuild Project

Kentucky Power plans to strengthen the transmission system in eastern Kentucky by making upgrades to its existing facilities in Boyd County. The work will help build a stronger power grid for the region.

Eastern Kentucky Transmission Program

Kentucky Power plans to increase reliability to customers by investing in its transmission system in five Eastern Kentucky counties. The Eastern Kentucky Transmission Program will rebuild and upgrade aging infrastructure and facilities.
